![]() ![]() As yet I have not endeavored to attach the memory card to my card reader to upload to my Mac. I have checked the folder again and only the one folder has been usedĥ. I do not change folders when using the camera that is I have only one Playback folder. As a matter of interest my D700 has the latest firm update unless there has been a recent update since 2 years ago.Ĥ. If somebody could advise the best compact flash card to purchase for the D700. I have used the 60 MB/s before with no issues. the recent Compact Flash card (90) MB/s is a recent purchase. I did not purchase the CompactFlash Card together - but purchased from legitimate sellers. It is best to check that cimpartment with a flashlight.ġ. There could be some bent pins inside the compact flash compartment, but it seems strange that the camera can successfully capture a bunch of images initially. Therefore, the likely possibilities are:ĭefective cards, but again, two defecitve ones in a row seems unlikely This could be as simple as a computer file structure folder issue, but I don't think you would see two image number 9999 to 0000 transitions with two successive cards clearly that should only occur after every 10K captures. Therefore, the original documentation may only refer to CF cards small in capacity such information is now out of date. Today, 16G and 32G are common, and some people even have 64 and 128G ones. The D700 was introduced back in 2008 when CF cards were rarely above 8G. Unfortunately, Nikon does not update such information in their documentation and on their web site. I would appreciate that people do not keep referring to the original Nikon documentation that came with the D700. ![]() The D700 is compatible with 16G cards even with earlier firmware. The D700 is fully compatible with even 64G CF cards if you have firmware version 1.02: ![]()
